Product: Laprock Pipe Sections are bonded rockwool, rigid pipe coverings for thermal insulation.

Standards: Laprock Pipe Sections conform to BS-3958 Part-4, ASTM--C-547 and IS-9842.

Facings: Laprock Pipe Sections can be supplied faced with fiberglass tissues, scrim cloth, canves or reinforced aluminium foil / kraft paper laminates. Other finishes available against specific orders.

Fire Resistance: Laprock Pipe Sections are non-combustible when tested as per IS-3144 or BS-476 Part-4. They do not get lignited, do not allow flames to spread and don not emit heat or smoke. Infact these are considered Fire protection materials.

Acoustics: Laprock Rigid Pipe Section provide excellent acoustic properties and can improve the level of environmental sound in case of pipes carrying high velocity gases, fluids or slurries.

Chemical: Laprock Fibres are chemically inert and are non-corrosive with Ph value between 7.5 - 8.5. The chloride content is negligible and does not support corrosion.

Thermal Conductivity: 'K' value when tested has been found to be wall below the figures given in BS-3958, ASTM-547 and IS-9842.

Service Temperature: Range from (-) 200oC

Density: Nominal 144 kg./m3 when tested as per IS-3144.

  • Thermal insulation's of piping in Fertilizer, Refineries, Chemical and Petro-Chemical plants. Thermal power plants, Gas based power plants for hot and cold insulation.
  • Thermal insulation of heat traced piping.
  • Hot/Chilled water lines in hotels, hospitals and buildings and for air-conditioning.
  • Solar heating installations.
  • Exhaust pipes of Generator Sets.
